Job Summary
As a Marketing Specialist, you will provide end-to-end ownership of an array of Communication Journeys and Below-the-Line Marketing Campaigns while ensuring job consistency through adherence to the brand policy guidelines. This role takes the lead in the design, progress, execution, and review of marketing campaigns. Further, as a Marketing Specialist, you thrive off on driving coordination between our product research automation agencies and internal & external stakeholders while also establishing a good relationship with them.
Within the Telstra Plus mission, you'll play a pivotal role in designing the next generation of customer communication journeys and campaigns for our Telstra Plus rewards program to drive member enrolment, engagement, and ultimately commercial return.
Your expertise will contribute to expanding Telstra Plus into a full sales and marketing channel to rival the best rewards programs in Australia, as part of our T25 company strategy.
The Key Responsibilities of the role include:
Actively contribute to the delivery of the Marketing strategy, programmes and continuous improvement initiatives and authentically engage with internal stakeholders to plan, coordinate and deliver marketing plans and customer journeys based on business needs and strategic insights.
End to end ownership of a range of data driven communication journeys and below-the-line marketing campaigns through ideation, design, development, execution, review and continual improvement phases.
Collaborate with internal and external partner teams to find new opportunities to integrate Telstra Plus throughout the business
Drive coordination between product, research, automation, agency, and strategy teams to execute at speed while maintaining the highest quality.
Drive consistency throughout the entire member lifecycle and ensure adherence to brand policy, guidelines and established business approval processes
Lead the analysis of comms performance, identify areas of improvement, and drive continual enhancement of communications strategy and execution
Establish and manage relationships with key internal and external marketing partners
Ensure all activity is in plan and on budget
Participate and embrace the ways of working mindsets and practices of the team
Champion the ways of working mindsets and practices within your team by actively participating in team meetings (e.g. sprint planning and reviews, stand-ups, retrospectives); contributing expertise to add value to successful delivery of Marketing campaigns and taking joint accountability with the team to make decisions and deliver outputs to achieve the team mission.
Leverage sound strategy and execution skills to support the development of campaign planning documents (e.g. campaign briefs, campaign blueprints, creative briefs) that build Telstra’s customer base and promote long-term growth
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives by working with the analytical team to deliver campaign reporting that demonstrates marketing influence on revenue, adjusting campaigns based on reporting analysis and suggesting ways to optimise and make incremental improvements to project/campaign objectives and budget
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in a Marketing role
Skill in using Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other similar technology platforms is desired
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and deliver quality work even when under pressure within the given timeline
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or any equivalent field
Experience in loyalty highly regarded
Experience managing external creative agencies
Strong experience in data driven marketing
1:1 marketing channels (digital and non-digital)
Planning, scheduling and executing an ecosystem of customer journeys and campaigns
Experience in managing external creative agencies
